Butler Freight Services Extra is a privately owned Transport and Warehousing business located in West Melbourne.

We have a rich history in the industry and an unsurpassed passion and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Our fleet utilises approximately 140 prime movers per day and comprises combinations of 15 Super B -Doubles, 20 B-Doubles, 16 Sideloaders, over 80 retractable skels and tautliners.

We currently have an opportunity at our workshop in West Melbourne for a passionate, committed and energetic individual to assist us in the servicing of our Trailer Fleet.

The main duties of the role are as follows -

  • Assist in day to day operation of workshop
  • Trailer repairs and servicing of trailers
  • Workshop housekeeping - keeping the workshop safe and tidy.
  • Ensuring the equipment is clean and well presented when leaving the workshop.
  • Painting of twist locks
  • Attending suppliers to pick up parts as needed
  • Checking stock levels and reporting to the Workshop Manager when low
  • Use of hand tools
  • Other duties as directed.
  • Assist  with transportation of drivers when equipment is taken off-site
