About the role As a result of exciting growth within our service department, we are seeking experienced Heavy Vehicle Technicians to join our team at CMV Truck & Bus Clayton working with Volvo, Mack, UD and various other makes of trucks and engines. This role is being offered on a full-time permanent basis, working Monday to Friday with rostered Saturday work. Responsibilities - Repairs, service and inspections to engines, gearboxes, brakes, diffs etc. on a wide range of trucks, buses and trailers. - Diagnostic analysis using the latest diagnostic software and computer equipment - Produce clear and concise reports detailing all work carried out on repair orders including supplies used and recommendations in a prioritised order - Provide support and guidance to Apprentice technicians - Mechanical and hydraulic works along with auto electrical and fabrication work Qualifications - Minimum certificate 3 mechanical trade certificate/qualification - Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry - Experience with American, European or Japanese drivelines will be highly regarded - Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a customer focused team - Current HC/HR drivers licence an advantage but not essential - Pride in your work with an ability to work to targets and high standards - High levels of motivation, reliable with a can-do, positive attitude - Effective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety - Own tools In return we offer - $40 - $45 per hour + tool allowance + laundered uniform + overalls + all PPE + overtime - Free insurance on your tools of the trade - Free mid-year dinner dance for you and a plus-one + Free Christmas Hamper and family event with free gifts for children U12 - Corporate discounts on health and life insurance programs - Opportunity to work with industry leading brands - Ongoing training and development opportunities provided - The opportunity to build a successful career by being part of the CMV Group of companies At CMV Truck & Bus, we believe our people are our greatest asset.
