About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Manager who thrives in a hands-on role while also partnering closely with leadership and operational teams. Reporting to the CEO/General Manager, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and systems, ensuring accurate, timely insights that drive business performance. This role is well-suited to someone looking to step up and broaden their experience, while remaining involved in the detail and supporting a small team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Month-end and year-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management.
  • Business partnering with operations and senior management to provide clear insights and recommendations.
  • Managing the general ledger, reconciliations, payroll, AP/AR, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Supporting ERP and finance systems (NAV currently in use) and contributing to process improvements.
  • Leading and mentoring a small finance team in a collaborative and supportive way.

What Success Looks Like

  • Accurate and timely financial reporting with clear commentary.
  • Strong collaboration with non-finance teams, helping them understand performance and make better decisions.
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to support the team in day-to-day tasks.
  • Contribution to continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, or Commercial Accountant looking to step up.
  • Hands-on experience in reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and payroll/AP/AR.
  • Strong Excel and ERP system knowledge (NAV, NetSuite, Pronto, MYOB Exo, or similar).
  • Ability to simplify financial information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a focus on team development and business partnering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • CPA or CA qualified
