About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Estimator to join our tendering and estimation function. Working within our estimating framework the role is responsible for managing the full tender lifecycle to drive commercial outcomes. The role works closely with a broad section of the organisation to secure high-value landscape construction projects and ensure accurate, competitive, and compliant submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for landscape construction projects, including hardscape, softscape, irrigation, and civil works.
  • Complete tender submissions, including pricing schedules, methodology statements, and supporting documentation.
  • Review and interpret landscape architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and reliable sourcing.
  • Maintain and improve estimating systems, databases, and market rate intelligence.
  • Contribute to post-tender reviews and project handovers to ensure alignment between estimation and delivery.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in landscape construction, civil, or related industries.
  • Understanding of landscape construction methodologies, materials, and sequencing.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce complete, compliant, and competitive tender submissions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with estimating software (e.g., Benchmark & Active TakeOff) highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Tertiary qualification in Landscape Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (preferred)
