Logistics Manager - Lead Safe, Smart, and Sustainable Service Delivery in a Purpose-Driven Business

What You'll Do

Take ownership of day-to-day branch logistics and lead a team of Service Technician Drivers to deliver excellent customer outcomes while upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance, and service.

  • Manage the full driver lifecycle—recruitment, onboarding, training, performance, engagement, and safety
  • Lead daily communications including toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and engagement initiatives
  • Oversee fleet operations (maintenance, compliance, roadworthiness, presentation, and utilisation)
  • Monitor driver compliance including licensing, fitness for duty, and service standards
  • Use logistics software (Verizon, CE) to build and optimise delivery routes and ensure system health
  • Administer driver payroll, timesheets (company, owner, agency), and leave requests accurately
  • Oversee the Logistics Hub, ensuring work is finalised correctly and promptly
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and IT to resolve issues and improve service delivery
  • Maintain inventory (e.g., sharps containers) and generate purchase orders for required services
  • Represent Med-X with professionalism in all customer and supplier interactions
  • Lead by example in maintaining a safe, clean, and professional working environment
  • Actively participate in business meetings, training sessions, and cross-functional support

What You Bring

You're a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to get the best out of people, systems, and processes.

  • 5+ years' experience in logistics, transport, or fleet management—preferably in a service-based industry
  • Demonstrated success in leading driver or transport teams
  • Experience using logistics routing and fleet management systems
  • Strong knowledge of transport compliance, fleet maintenance, and safety best practices
  • Budget management experience and ability to analyse cost drivers
  • Relevant qualifications in logistics, operations, or business (preferred)
