Key Accountabilities:
- Academic Leadership: Provide clear direction for the allocated program(s), ensuring academic standards are maintained, educational excellence is promoted, and continuous improvement is embedded in teaching and learning.
- Program Oversight: Manage program planning and delivery, including timetabling, staffing allocations, and ensuring consistency across campuses, modes, and locations.
- Quality Assurance: Lead program and subject review cycles, ensuring compliance with institutional and external accreditation requirements. Evaluate student experiences and outcomes each term, implementing improvements as required.
- Student Success: Monitor student progression and retention across allocated courses. Oversee academic advising and consultation, ensuring students receive high-quality guidance and support. Lead initiatives that enhance the student learning experience.
- Teaching & Learning: Support and mentor academic staff, coordinate teaching teams, and ensure consistent adherence to academic policies and procedures. Embed innovative and industry-informed approaches into curriculum and assessment design.
- Industry Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, professional associations, and guest speakers to enrich the student experience and maintain program relevance.
- Scholarship: Contribute actively to the ICMS Scholarship Framework through leadership and participation in scholarly activities. Represent your discipline in institutional policy development and evidence scholarly impact through research and applied practice.
- Community Contribution: Actively participate in ICMS governance processes, contribute to open days, orientation, and institutional events, and represent ICMS as a leader in your field of expertise.
Selection Criteria:
- PhD (or PhD candidature) in a relevant Business discipline.
- Significant teaching experience across diverse student cohorts.
- Proven leadership in academic management in higher education.
