POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team.

Working closely with a small, dedicated team based at Alberton you will be instrumental in ensuring that our equipment is serviced and maintained to optimal standards, maximising availability and utilisation.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct servicing, repairs, and maintenance on various types of plant, machinery and heavy haulage trucks
  • Conduct diagnostic tests on various plant including Construction machinery and heavy haulage equipment
  • Maintain effective communication with the Site Supervisors and the Plant Manager
  • Travelling to various Civil Construction sites conducting field services

ABOUT YOU:

To be successful in the role you must demonstrate:

  • Relevant trade qualifications – with a minimum of 3 years experience
  • Previous experience with CAT and KOMATSU plant and equipment
  • Experience with diagnostic programs
  • Field service experience
  • Manual Drivers Licence and Construction White Card
  • Excavator, Skid Steer and Compactor Roller ticket an advantage
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment medical
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Safety first approach to leadership with high attention to detail
