**Your New Opportunity**:
Stepping into your new role as a **Leading Hand**, you'll join and mentor a growing team **Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics**. Based in **Yatala** you'll use your skills and experience to lead and develop our current diesel technicians and help grow your team.

You'll allocate jobs, develop work instructions, prepare info for quotes and repairs and not be afraid to jump on the tools when the team needs a hand. Your mechanics will rely on you as a point of escalation for any tricky problems, and you'll provide guidance and training where required.

**About you**:

- Minimum **5+ years post qualification** experience in **maintenance, service and repair **of heavy vehicles and trucks.
- Experience in Western Star, MAN Trucks & Bus, Dennis Eagle, _mtu_, Detroit and Allison Transmission products would be ideal - but we have plenty of OEM training available.
- Easily work independently, but just as happy working in a team.
- Not afraid to get your hands dirty and help the team when needed, flexible to pick up overtime as required.
- Have effective communication and leadership skills - you'll be talking to everyone from apprentices to customers and everyone in between.
- A positive, can-do attitude with the drive to help your team develop and succeed.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure maximum efficiency in the workshop.
