Metropolitan North Region is seeking a Principal Education Officer (EOSD) who will lead and manage project teams to develop and implement strategies and initiatives for school improvement activities and services, while fostering a strong commitment to building performance, capability and capacity across the department through best-practice,
evidence-based approaches to teaching, learning and school improvement.
This role forms part of the differentiated supervision and support provided to secondary schools across the Metropolitan North region and works in close partnership with the School Supervisor (Secondary) and the Principal Advisor Education Services.

Your Responsibilities
The Principal Education Officer (EOSD) role will include, but not be limited to:
- Supporting the development needs of schools to access and engage with a range of regional office, central office and other agencies for school improvement activities and services.
- Providing guidance and support to schools around emerging system projects that support priority measures within Equity and Excellence.
- Leading strategies that foster high quality collaboration, communication and information sharing to enable an understanding of the complexities and challenges that exist in Secondary contexts to inform regional improvement.
- Preparation of high-quality advice including briefing materials, correspondence, reports and project plans for the Regional Director, Regional Executive Leadership team, principals and other relevant stakeholders.
- Participation in relevant reference or strategic groups that inform regional improvement in the On Track for Success and Ready for the Future phases of learning.
