This roster is 5/2 4/3 and a 10 hour day.

About the Role

This role puts you in the thick of processing operations, where your training efforts directly support safety, performance, and team capability.

As a Trainer Assessor – Processing at Cowal, you'll be embedded in the heart of the gold processing plant, delivering practical, site-based training that directly supports safety, performance, and career development across the processing workforce.

Reporting to the Senior Training Advisor, you'll be responsible for delivering nationally recognised training, assessing competencies, and maintaining accurate records using systems like INX and Moodle. You won't be designing programs from scratch, but you'll be the face of training: presenting, assessing, and supporting in-field activities across crushing, grinding, flotation, leaching, and control room operations.

Whether you're stepping up from a processing operator role or bringing formal training experience, this is a role where your practical knowledge will be valued and your contribution will be felt.

About You

You're someone who's worked in a gold or mineral processing plant and knows the ins and outs of the operation: from the control room to the mill floor. You've probably trained others informally and now you're ready to take the next step. You might already hold your Cert IV in Training and Assessing, or you're keen to complete it with support.

You're motivated by safety, teamwork, and helping others succeed. You're confident in your ability to communicate clearly, follow procedures, and lead by example. You're not afraid of systems like INX or Moodle (or to learn them), and you're comfortable working both in the field and in the training room.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has hands-on experience in mineral processing within a mining environment
• Holds (or is willing to obtain) a Cert IV in Training and Assessing
• Wants to build something meaningful and be part of a team that's just getting started

We're open to developing the right person, especially if you bring the right attitude and operational know-how.
