Site based Project Engineer

Monadelphous is seeking a qualified and experienced Project Engineer to join our Mackay Operations Team, supporting a shutdown-based project scheduled to run from mid-December 2025 through to May 2026.

This role will be based in Blackwater, providing engineering and project management support across multiple work fronts.

Location - Blackwater

Planning Phase - Monday to Friday 10hour days

Execution Phase - 9/5 roster, 12.5hour days.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Perform project control functions - scheduling, cost control including managing performance against budget and developing variations where required.

* Providing engineering services and project management support to operations team.

* Develop work packages for field teams to execute including all necessary QA documentation - development of ITPs and associated check sheets.

* Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolve any project management issues.

What you will bring

* Demonstrated field experience within the mining industry

* Exposure to dragline operations and shutdowns (highly desirable)

* An Australian-recognised Engineering degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering

* Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications, including 3D models, general arrangements (GAs), isometrics, and P&IDs

* Strong understanding of project management principles

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

* A valid Australian Driver's Licence

* Proof of right to work in Australia
