Join our team at the Kongsberg Missile Facility (KMF) in Newcastle, a state-of-the-art manufacturing and integration site purpose-built to deliver cutting-edge missile systems to the Australian Defence Force. This facility represents a significant milestone in Australia's sovereign defence capability and offers the chance to work on projects that have national impact.

We are seeking an experienced Production Planning Manager to lead the production planning activities for the KMF.
You will be responsible for leading the production planning team, developing and maintaining production schedules and ensuring alignment of supply and demand across the production process.
About the role:
As a Production Planning Manager, you will:
- Lead the production planning team, ensuring effective development and execution of production schedules that align with KMF project timelines and operational goals.
- Develop and maintain the master production schedule, ensuring that production activities align with supply chain requirements and meet demand forecasts.
- Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to define and establish an effective production scope for KMF activities.
- Monitor production performance, providing regular reports on progress against master schedule and proactively identifying and resolving any issues that may impact timelines.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and components, managing lead times, quality issues and delivery schedules to prevent productions delays.
- Monitor and report on production costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and working with finance and operations teams to optimise expenses.
What you'll Bring:
- Tertiary qualifications, or equivalent experience in Production Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in production planning or management in manufacturing environments.
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing a planning team in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated applied ERP experience.
- Demonstrated experience using scheduling tools.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
