Your New Role
Join Metro South Health as a Principal Data Analyst and drive impactful improvements in patient safety and quality through advanced data analytics. Key responsibilities will include:
- Integrate multiple data sources to develop advanced analytical tools and visualisations, supporting safety, quality, patient outcomes and patient experience initiatives.
- Collaborating with clinical and executive teams to define data requirements ensuring compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.
- Providing expert education and support to enhance data literacy and reporting capabilities across Directorates and executive leadership.
- Independently analysing complex clinical datasets to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, delivering actionable insights to inform decision-making.

We Are Looking For a Highly Skilled And Motivated Individual With a Strong Analytical Mindset And a Passion For Healthcare Quality Improvement. You Thrive In a Collaborative Environment And Are Adept At Managing Complex Data Challenges With Professionalism And Integrity. You Will Have Demonstrated
- Advanced expertise in data analytics tools including Power BI, SQL, DAX, MDX, and Microsoft Excel, alongside experience in relational databases and data warehousing.
- The ability to translate complex clinical data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations for diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing priorities and complex healthcare environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to educate, negotiate and build effective relationships at all levels.
