The role
The Principal Commercial Analyst provides strategic guidance and analytical leadership across Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific (DNAP), driving the development and standardisation of commercial frameworks, decision-making processes, and tools that support sustainable business growth. By working collaboratively with executive leadership, account management, business development, marketing, and finance teams, the role transforms complex internal and external data into actionable insights that influence pricing strategies, value propositions, and go-to-market decisions.

  • Develop, implement, and refine commercial tools, frameworks, and methodologies to drive consistency and strategic alignment across DNAP.
  • Lead advanced analysis of market trends, customer data, and competitive intelligence to uncover risks, opportunities, and inform pricing and investment strategies.
  • Translate complex financial, market, and operational data into actionable insights that support executive-level decision-making and go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with account management, business development, and marketing to evaluate commercial performance and identify growth and optimisation levers.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders through compelling storytelling, visualisation, and strategic presentations.
  • Mentor junior analysts, champion analytical capability-building, and foster an inclusive, learning-oriented environment that values diversity and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

  • You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, commerce or related filed (ideal).
  • Experience in commercial analysis, strategy, business intelligence or a related function.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and SAP (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in structured problem solving and communication.
  • Collaborative team member, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Shows initiative and possess strong problem-solving skills to be able to 'work things out'.
  • Skilled at translating complex information into clear, concise insights tailored to diverse audiences.
