Your new role:

Join Metro South Health as a Principal Data Analyst and drive impactful improvements in patient safety and quality through advanced data analytics. Key responsibilities will include:

Integrate multiple data sources to develop advanced analytical tools and visualisations, supporting safety, quality, patient outcomes and patient experience initiatives.

Collaborating with clinical and executive teams to define data requirements ensuring compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.

Providing expert education and support to enhance data literacy and reporting capabilities across Directorates and executive leadership.

Independently analysing complex clinical datasets to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, delivering actionable insights to inform decision-making.

About you:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for healthcare quality improvement. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are adept at managing complex data challenges with professionalism and integrity. You will have demonstrated:

Advanced expertise in data analytics tools including Power BI, SQL, DAX, MDX, and Microsoft Excel, alongside experience in relational databases and data warehousing.

The ability to translate complex clinical data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations for diverse stakeholders.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing priorities and complex healthcare environments.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to educate, negotiate and build effective relationships at all levels.
