Our client, a leading global fintech firm, is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to join their APAC People Services team on a 12–15-month contract. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple business areas, providing both strategic and hands-on HR support in a fast-paced, global environment.

Why this role?

You'll partner flexibly across Sydney and APAC offices, supporting BAU activities while driving key people initiatives. From employee relations and workforce planning to leadership coaching and project delivery, this position gives you scope to influence both operational and strategic priorities. You will report directly to the Chief People Officer, providing high-level support and insight across the region.

What you'll do:

  • Operate as a trusted HR partner across diverse business units, adapting to evolving priorities.
  • Manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring compliance and fairness.
  • Support strategic people initiatives, including talent, engagement, and change programs.
  • Partner with leaders to identify workforce needs and capability gaps.
  • Collaborate with People Operations and COEs (Recruitment, L&D, OD, Reward, D&I) to deliver consistent, best-practice solutions.
  • Monitor employment legislation and proactively manage regulatory changes.
  • Coach leaders to build capability and drive performance.

What you'll bring:

  • Extensive HR Business Partnering experience at a senior level, ideally gained within financial services, professional services, or technology sectors.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and market best practice.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management experience is highly desirable.
