About the role
Two Minds Counselling Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Munno Para, South Australia. As a casual employee, you will play a vital role in providing personalised support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
What you'll be doing
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Accompany and support clients to access community services and recreational activities
- Advocate for clients' rights and ensure their needs are met
- Maintain detailed records and documentation related to client care
- Contribute to the development and implementation of client-centred support plans
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, coordinated care
What we're looking for
- A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification
- Experience in providing direct support and assistance to people with disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A current first aid certificate and a valid driver's licence
