Expressions of interest are invited from ongoing and temporary employees within the NSW Public Sector who wish to be considered for this temporary role for 5 weeks.

**About the Role**

You will join our Intergovernmental Relations Team, in the Social Policy and Intergovernmental Relations Group.

The Intergovernmental Relations Team, work across government and with other jurisdictions to drive outcomes on significant policy challenges. This includes NSW Government priorities, major national reforms and international and trade policy issues. Our team is responsive to the priorities of the day as well as longer term strategic agendas. We work closely with counterparts across the NSW Government, other States and Territories and the Commonwealth Government

The **Associate Director** will lead complex policy and project work in the health and education portfolio. The **Associate Director**will provide well-researched advice and options to enable effective decision-making by the Department and guide staff in the same. Recognise and address emerging issues of strategic importance, offering high-level advice to the executive team.

**We're Looking For**
- Proven ability to lead and cultivate senior stakeholder relationships, establishing trust and influence to drive impactful initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic and/or policy development, planning and coordination across government entities to address challenges and achieve outcomes.
- Ability to lead the review and mapping of policies, programs, and initiatives to provide a comprehensive view of any system change required.
- Strong track record in crafting articulate cabinet submissions to guide policy decisions and facilitate program delivery.
- Sound judgment and initiative in navigating complex issues and diverse stakeholder perspectives.
- Effective collaboration with senior stakeholders across public and private sectors, fostering engagement on policy matters and project initiatives.
