About the role
In this role, you will lead initiatives to increase revenue opportunities by driving engagement, service delivery, retention, and growth across our membership and corporate partnership programs. You will provide leadership and guidance to the Membership and Partnerships team, while working closely with the broader tourism unit to refine and clearly communicate the value proposition for businesses choosing to be part of our organisation.

Key responsibilities include:
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with tourism industry stakeholders to drive membership engagement, retention, and growth.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and motivating teams, fostering an inclusive, customer-focused, and results-driven culture.
- Experience delivering strategic membership and corporate partnership programs, with a focus on revenue growth and value creation.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to represent TGGB, engage stakeholders, and contribute to Board-level discussions.
- Well-developed business development and sales capability to increase industry participation and generate sustainable revenue streams.
- High-level organisational and analytical skills, including implementing systems, tracking performance data, and driving continuous improvement.
About you
We are looking for someone with relevant qualifications or experience in tourism, business, sales or marketing, and proven leadership skills. You will bring strong people management, communication and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to build partnerships and drive results.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A tertiary qualification in tourism, business or communications.
- Demonstrated experience in mid-level management and/or leadership roles.
- Well-developed writing, presentation, and negotiation skills for dedicated sales activity.
- Well-developed problem solving and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build valued partnerships.
- Ability to identify, implement, monitor and report on business improvement systems, such as Customer Relationship Management platforms.
- Ability to manage the design and implementation of sponsorship packages, including monitoring deliverables and reporting on outcomes.
- Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
- Current Working with Children Card (employee).
