As we continue to expand our advisory practice, we are seeking a Finance Due Diligence Manager to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with Directors and clients on complex, high-value transactions across various industries.
The Opportunity
The Finance Due Diligence Manager will lead and deliver financial due diligence engagements for buy-side and sell-side transactions. You'll play a key role in analysing target company financials, identifying key deal issues, and supporting clients through every stage of the transaction lifecycle.
This position is ideal for someone with strong commercial acumen, excellent analytical skills, and experience in transaction advisory or audit within professional services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage financial due diligence (FDD) engagements for acquisitions, divestitures, and investments.
- Analyse target company financial statements to assess quality of earnings, cash flow, and working capital trends.
- Identify key transaction risks, deal value drivers, and potential financial adjustments.
- Prepare clear and concise due diligence reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing insights and strategic recommendations.
- Oversee engagement teams including coaching, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior staff.
- Collaborate with tax, valuation, and corporate finance specialists to deliver integrated advisory solutions.
- Contribute to business development through proposal writing, presentations, and relationship management.
About You
You're a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, project-based environment. You have the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights that influence high-stakes decisions.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent).
- 3-5 experience in financial due diligence, transaction services, corporate finance, or audit.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and key performance metrics.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation.
- Strong attention to detail combined with a commercial, problem-solving mindset.
Desirable:
- Experience working with private equity clients or mid-market transactions.
- Exposure to data analytics or financial modelling tools (Excel, Power BI).
