As the Operations Improvement Lead, you will take the drive Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across Queensland, while also contributing to national-level projects as part of a collaborative, future-focused team. The role is based in Brisbane, the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast, with a remit spanning CAPEX, safety, process optimisation, and operational leadership coaching, every day will bring new challenges and opportunities.
In this autonomous role, you'll work closely with site leaders and cross-functional teams to embed sustainable improvements, deliver high-impact capital projects, and champion a strong safety-first culture. You'll be backed by a national CI network and senior stakeholders who value innovation and proactive leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead QLD-wide CI projects focused on safe operations, maintenance, CAPEX delivery, and Australian standards alignment.
- Collaborate with Queensland leadership to identify and implement efficiency improvements across multiple sites.
- Coach and mentor operational leaders to embed continuous improvement practices.
- Champion a safety-first mindset, ensuring all projects uphold the highest safety standards.
- Analyse and improve manufacturing and business processes through data-driven methodologies.
- Drive innovation in automation, labour efficiency, and cost reduction strategies.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of major capital and improvement projects.
- Partner with suppliers, site leaders, and national CI counterparts to ensure consistent standards and solutions.
You are a seasoned Continuous Improvement or Operations leader who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments. Your ability to lead change, influence stakeholders, and think strategically makes you a trusted partner across multi-site operations. You will gain exposure to state-wide and national projects, in an autonomous leadership role, and have an immediate project portfolio. Key Experience:
- Demonstrated leadership in Continuous Improvement, Operations, or Engineering within manufacturing.
- Strong project management experience, with the ability to deliver on multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and influence both senior leaders and frontline teams.
- Background in managing CAPEX and safety-focused improvement projects.
- Solid knowledge of maintenance, reliability, and safe operational practices.
- Proficient in process optimisation, root cause analysis, and data-led decision making.
- Comfortable with tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Suite, and ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
- Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical) desirable, but not essential.
