About the Role
The Claims Verification Officer works within the support function – Centralised Processing Unit team and Quality team of Employment Services division. Claims Verification Officer is responsible for processing and submitting outcome claims, wage subsidy claims, tax invoices, reimbursement claims, payments and any other fee-related claims for ES programs within
required timeframes. Claims Verification Officer also provide support in program reporting, compliance, assurance and administrative activities.
Claims Verification Officer ensures their work meets the requirements of program assurance, compliance, quality expectation, standards and frameworks as set by the funding bodies and SSI Group.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Claims & Payments Processing
Manage the end-to-end process of outcome claims, wage subsidy agreements, fund reimbursements, and supplier payments by collecting and verifying evidence, submitting documentation via relevant systems (e.g. funding body IT systems and SSI's ICMS), and ensuring compliance with contractual guidelines and deadlines.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Support
Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders including employers, job seekers, and Employment Services staff. Respond to queries related to claims, payments, reimbursements, and wage subsidies, providing timely and accurate support.
- Data Management & Compliance
Maintain accurate, secure, and up-to-date records. Identify and rectify errors, duplications, or incorrect evidence. Support monitoring, audits, and assurance activities in line with SSI policies and contractual obligations.
- Collaboration & Escalation Management
Work closely with team members, Program Leaders, and line managers to escalate and resolve complex issues, support monthly reporting activities, and ensure timely completion of tasks across Employment Services programs.
- Reporting & Fund Management
Monitor and reconcile funds across Employment Services programs and subcontractors. Support the administration of local program funds (e.g. Local Initiative Fund), and contribute to data collection, analysis, and reporting using various internal systems and platforms.

Essential criteria:
The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV or higher in Business Administration, with strong administrative and compliance experience. Previous experience within the Employment Services sector in a similar role involving quality and compliance procedures, claims processing, or administration is desirable. High attention to detail, strong data and systems skills, excellent communication, and the ability to meet tight deadlines are essential, along with a flexible and professional approach.
