QTMP involves the design, manufacture and maintenance of 65 new six-car passenger trains to support Cross River Rail and the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games. These trains will be built at a new, purpose-built facility in Torbanlea on the Fraser Coast.
About the role
The Senior Commercial Contracts Administrator provides technical contracts administration and oversight for commercial activities within the allocated projects, reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager with a delegation to support projects in delivery.
Key responsibilities
Administration of upstream Head Contract and downstream Supply/Subcontracts including but not limited to:
- Maximise contract revenue recovery
- Prepare and review contract notices and variations for internal review
- Maintain commercial registers
- Ensure performance and delivery of project scope
- Assess event impacts, manage claims and extensions of time (EOTs)
- Support accurate progress claims, forecasting, and reporting
- Follow contract manuals and lead change management, including design changes
- Coordinate prompt issuance of subcontracts and supply contracts, ensuring compliance
- Drive contract management processes, including variation and change claims
- Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, finance, legal, controls)
- Assist in negotiations and dispute resolution; provide data for upstream claims
 Prepare summaries and reports for Leadership and Executive teams as required
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Law, Commerce, Engineering, or similar
- Extensive experience in commercial/contract management for construction, services, or manufacturing
- Familiarity with InEight is advantageous
- Expertise in both traditional and collaborative contracting
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communicator in multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of warranty, defects, acceptance, testing, and commissioning
- Ability to influence stakeholders and lead teams to resolve issues
 Proactive, decisive, and focused on achieving best commercial outcomes
