Are you a dedicated Enrolled Nurse (RN) looking for flexible work in a dynamic and supportive General Practice setting?  The is a unique role for an Enrolled Nurse who has an interest in working a combined role also as a Medical Receptionist. Maitland Road Surgery, Cessnock next to Beautiful Hunter Valley is a reputable General Practice committed to providing high quality patient centered care for our Patients.  We are a vibrant and supportive Practice looking for a new Nurse to be part of our Team of 4 GP's and 2 RN's. The ideal candidate will be a skilled and adaptable EEN who has a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience. Practice Nurse experience desirable but not essestial.

What we're looking for:

  • Current registration as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working as an Enrolled Nurse or in a similar role within a healthcare setting, Practice Nurse experience desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in general medical and surgical nursing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clinicians, support staff and patients
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities to prioritise tasks and manage a busy practice environment
  • Proficient in using medical software and technology to support patient care
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development
  • This is a dual Role - Part time Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (2 days) and Part-time as a Medical Receptionist (3 days).
  • You will play a vital role in supporting our GPs and also working as part of the administration Team as a Medical Receptionist. Separate days for each role.

Duties:

  • Assessment, Planning, and implementation of care
  • Acute and Chronic disease Management
  • Childhood Immunisations and vaccinations
  • Wound care / Dressings
  • Assisting in minor procedures
  • Health Assessments
  • Care plans
  • Diabetic checks
  • INR checks
  • Removal of sutures
  • Managing Medical supplies
  • Stock Taking
  • Patient education
  • Care and management of acutely unwell patients.
  • Front desk/Reception administrations duties as required from time to time
