About the opportunity
Are you ready to shape Australia's energy future? Join the CEFC as a Director, Portfolio Management – RTN and play a pivotal role in delivering the Australian Government's Rewiring the Nation (RTN) program, a transformative initiative to decarbonise the electricity sector and build a resilient, clean energy grid.
As Director, you'll lead the management of investments in nationally significant energy infrastructure projects, across Australia. You'll work across the capital structure—corporate loans, project finance, hybrids, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and performance.
You'll also manage and mentor team members, contribute to strategic decision-making, and help shape the future of clean energy investment in Australia.

The role you'll play:
As the Director Portfolio Management - RTN, you'll be responsible for:
- Managing complex RTN investments from financial close through construction and operations
- Monitoring investment performance against sustainability, social licence, and financial targets
- Collaborating with technical, regulatory, and sustainability teams to drive outcomes.
- Leading reporting and insights for Executive and Board level stakeholders
- Championing continuous improvement in governance and asset management
- Coaching and developing team members
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 10+ years' experience in project or structured finance or investment/asset management
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in energy or infrastructure sectors is highly desirable
- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Passion for sustainability and innovative financing solutions
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Engineering, Law, or related fields
