About the role

Motorserve is seeking an experienced Panel Shop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy automotive panel shop in Townsville, QLD. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing a team of skilled panel beaters and painters, ensuring high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervising and coordinating the work of the production team to ensure efficient and timely completion of vehicle repairs.
  • Uphold strict quality assurance and workplace safety standards.
  • Actively monitor KPIs such as cycle times, efficiency, gross profit, and customer satisfaction.
  • Providing guidance, training, and mentorship to the shop team to support their professional development.
  • Liaising with customers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to manage job scheduling, provide updates, and address any concerns.

What we're looking for

  • Trade-qualified Panel Beater or Spray Painter with a minimum of five years of hands-on industry experience.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a management role, preferably automotive experience.
  • A current driver's licence and permanent work rights.
  • Results driven mindset.
  • Commercial focus.
