We are a friendly, patient-focused dental practice located in the heart of Clayton, committed to providing high-quality dental care in a welcoming environment. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis.

About the Role:

This is a dual-role position ideal for someone with experience in the dental industry who enjoys both clinical assisting and front desk responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with our dentists and team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Reception Duties:

  • Greeting and assisting patients in a professional and caring manner
  • Booking and managing appointments
  • Processing payments and health fund claims
  • Answering phone and email enquiries

Dental Assisting Duties:

  • Chair-side assisting during a range of dental procedures
  • Sterilising instruments and maintaining infection control protocols
  • Setting up and preparing treatment rooms
  • Stock management and general support to the clinical team

About You:

  • Experience as a Dental Assistant or Certificate III in Dental Assisting (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly, reliable, and a strong team player
  • Training can be provided to the right candidate
  • Available to work Wednesdays and Thursdays
