About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and solutions-focused People and Performance Partner to join our People and Performance team. In this proactive role, you will provide high-quality People services to designated divisions, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, systems, employee and industrial relations, and supporting business objectives. You will also lead and contribute to projects and process improvement initiatives that help shape a thriving workplace culture and elevate service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver responsive and insightful organisational partnering services to stakeholders, aligning HR support with organisational goals.
- Provide specialist advice and support on employee and industrial relations matters, including case management and participation in Enterprise Agreement negotiations.
- Provide advice and support on across the organisation in relation to HR policies, procedures, and award/agreement interpretation.
- Build strong working relationships with leaders to address operational needs and support the imperative of being a "Great place to work".
- Support performance management processes, including probation reviews, development plans, and feedback conversations.
- Support delivery of our people strategy to drive high organisational impact for the City of Salisbury.
To be successful within this role you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field, 5 years' experience essential.
- Strong background in employee and industrial relations, including dispute resolution and enterprise bargaining.
- Demonstrated success in leading and implementing HR or process improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience delivering generalist HR/IR services to a broad and diverse client base.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, influence, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- A sound understanding of continuous improvement principles and business change frameworks.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, facilitate conversations, and conduct presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise integrity while managing sensitive matters.
- Familiarity with relevant State industrial relations systems, employment legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
