Job Details

The ACIC is seeking multiple Senior Project Officers to provide diverse administrative and ICT project support for inflight and upcoming programs across the agency, particularly in Intelligence Operations, Intelligence and Information Systems, National Police Checking Service, and Corporate and Enabling Services.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Minimum of 5 years Project Officer experience, preferably in Federal Government agencies
  • Administer and coordinate project schedules, budgets, reporting, artefacts, issue resolution
  • Act as stakeholder liaison, demonstrating strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Manage project changes in line with established processes and standards
  • Adapt and deliver under multiple methodologies (Prince2, MSP, Agile, SAFe, Hybrid)
  • Manage concurrent projects and priorities
  • Apply knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Federal Government procurement
  • Provide Secretariat support for Working Groups and Steering Committees
  • Perform additional duties as directed by Project Manager or Enterprise Portfolio Management Office
  • Experience in Intelligence project delivery is beneficial

Essential Criteria
  • Minimum 5 years ICT project support experience, including:
    • Monitoring, tracking, and reporting deliverables
    • Ensuring schedules, costs, and quality align with plans
    • Tracking and reporting financials
    • Identifying and resolving issues (20%)
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills:
    • Ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholders
    • Build and maintain relationships with technical teams and stakeholders (20%)
  • Ability to deliver quality outcomes using project/program frameworks:
    • Adhering to tools, templates, and processes
    • Experience across methodologies (Prince2, MSP, Agile, SAFe, Hybrid) (20%)
  • Ability to provide a range of administrative and project/program support services, including Secretariat support (20%)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint (20%)
Desirable Criteria
  • Agile project delivery experience, including Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • SAFe and/or Scrum Master experience/qualifications
  • Experience in small to medium Federal Government agencies
  • Experience in Intelligence agencies
