Telecommunications Technical Officer

About the Role
ATI Australia are looking for a full-time Telecommunications Technical Officer. You will be responsible for providing support in the successful installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of Telecommunications and Power quality products and services. This position requires the utilisation of skills and competencies to successfully deliver project outcomes aligned to scopes of works, quality management specifications and safe working standards and methodologies. Additionally, this position provides Service Management support for contracted customer services and equipment. This includes Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management and Preventative Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform power quality and telecommunications systems installation and maintenance functions.
- Review project scopes to ensure clarity of task requirements.
- Conduct site surveys to gather data to develop viable installation plans.
- Provide recommendations on tools and plant required to execute installation plans.
- Interpret drawings, layouts, and other visual aids.
- Review safety management plans to ensure they adequately address hazards associated with all work aspects.
- Operate test equipment in the lab and field and analyse and interpret the outputs.
- Diagnose and repair faults in telecommunications and power updates on fault management and job progress.
- Provide written reports to customers, technical and project management with respect to technical matters.
- Engage with work schedulers to meet project and maintenance requirements.
What You'll Bring
- Relevant studies – Diploma level or above.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical or telecommunications service business.
- Strong knowledge of Telecommunication or Power Quality Systems Installation, operation, and maintenance practices.
- Working at heights.
