Our venues Ormond House, Luminare, Glasshouse and State Library Victoria provide stunning event spaces for corporate dinners, conferences, cocktail parties, private occasions, weddings, milestone celebrations, and everything in-between.
Exciting Opportunities Coming Up:
We have shifts to offer our Pastry team to prepare the sweet elements for Melbourne's most prestigious events during the spring & summer season, and beyond:
- September Club/Grand Final Village (AFL Grand Final Day – 27th September)
- Caulfield Cup (11th, 15th and 18th October)
- Spring Racing Carnival (1st, 4th, 5th and 8th November)
- Australian Open (12th Jan - 1st Feb 2026)
We are currently seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and passionate Pastry Chefs to join our dynamic event team at our Production Kitchen at The Glasshouse (3004):
Main Duties:
- Follow the plan set out by our Lead Pastry Chef.
- Prepare menu items according to recipe and technique.
- Follow safe food handling hygiene and practices.
- Understand dietary requirements and ensure guests are prepared appropriate meals.
Skills/Experience Required:
- A creative flair and previous experience in high volume Pastry Production.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary Pastry Techniques and ingredients.
- Positive attitude to take instruction and work harmoniously within teams.
- Team mentality to deliver to The Big Group standard and be a team player until the kitchen is cleaned and all staff are ready to go.
