Programmed Offshore are seeking a suitably experienced Materials Coordinator to join our clients' growing team based in Darwin at the Supply Base.
Role Summary:

To plan and prepare all materials, equipment, spares, tools, and consumables required to carry out the Project scope(s) of work
-
To support all Supply Base Operations inclusive of receivals, preservation, packing materials, backloaded materials, returning materials / equipment for storage at the supply base / warehouse or Suppliers for end of scope, repairs and / or inspection / certification.

To supervise the materials team onshore to support the storage of materials and the execution of the offshore scope.

Focal point / main point of contact for Client Onshore Supply Base operations.

Willingness to travel to local Darwin Subcontractors / Vendors for meetings as required
Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Support / Lead Pre starts and Toolbox Meetings (as needed).

Ensure the work is planned and prepared according to the schedule.

Allocate & maintain accurate location records for all materials stored at the Supply Base using SPMAT.

Prepare and maintain inventory of all materials, consumables, tools and special tools required.

Responsible for the storage and preservation of all materials, inclusive of materials identified as dangerous goods.

Prepare and issue manifests of all materials and equipment being sent to Offshore, including MO41s to supplement the shipment of dangerous goods.

Support the Rolling Cargo Lookahead.

Be the focal point for all onshore material matters for Darwin Onshore Supply Base.

Ensure that SPMat is up to date with material receipts, reservations, issuance, locations and / or backloads.

Interface with procurement and engineering departments onshore to expedite critical material deliveries

Interface with Supply Base operators for material receipt / handover and dispatch from the Supply Base (i.e. return to Suppliers)
Qualifications / Experience
-
Minimum of 5 years in materials management
-
Familiarity and experience with SPMat (MARIAN), particularly the warehousing and transport modules
-
Demonstrated hands on administration skills
-
Ability to efficiently supervise a team of store people.

Experience with leading small teams

Experience managing large materials and spares inventories

Brownfield, Shutdown or Greenfield campaign experience

A good understanding of handling Dangerous Goods, reviewing SDSs and basic understanding of HSE practices

Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlooks and Teams)

Self-motivated and proactive with delivery focus
-
Sets and maintains clear objectives
-
Clear written and verbal communication skills
-
Willingness to work extended / weekend hours occasionally to meet project / job requirements
