The Role

We are seeking a motivated and organised Student Support Assistant to join the Student Wellbeing team within the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dean of Students.

In this student-facing role, you will be the first point of contact for students seeking support, delivering professional reception services across multiple channels (in person, phone, and email). You will assist with intake and triage to wellbeing support, accessibility registrations and direct students to appropriate university services.

You will also provide administrative support to the Student Wellbeing and Accessibility teams, contribute to service improvements, and play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the unit.

This is a student-facing role that requires regular on-campus presence to provide frontline reception and wellbeing support.

About You

You will be a motivated and proactive professional with experience in administration or customer service. You bring strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to balance competing deadlines while providing a positive, student-focused experience. You enjoy working collaboratively, contributing to service improvements, and building effective relationships with stakeholders across the University.

Essential Criteria

  • Qualification or equivalent experience in administration, customer service, health sciences , or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of customer service and/or administration processes and associated policies.
  • Able to contribute to continual improvement and transformation initiatives in student support services.
  • Regular on-campus presence is required for this student-facing role.
  • Experience undertaking complex administration functions within tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with key student support functions.
  • Ability to build and manage partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
