OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a motivated and sales-focused VIC Account Manager to drive business growth across the Melbourne region, selling directly to end users in the industrial sectors. Your territory would primarily cover the inner Northern and Western suburbs of Melbourne, out to Geelong. Candidates living in the Eastern or South-Eastern suburbs, would need to consider commute times in and out of the territory on a daily basis. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing new accounts, nurturing existing relationships, and executing effective sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly targets. This is a field-based position suited to a high-energy individual who can confidently engage with trade customers, industrial clients, and workshop managers. Key duties include:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to grow the customer base and drive revenue
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities across welding, manufacturing, and industrial sectors
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with clients through face-to-face visits, phone calls, and follow-ups
  • Understand customer needs and recommend tailored solutions from a wide range of welding and industrial products
  • Stay up to date with product knowledge, market trends, and competitor activity
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, reporting and CRM updates to management
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless order processing and high customer satisfaction

CANDIDATE
  • Proven experience in external sales, ideally within the welding or industrial equipment industry
  • Prior trade experience as a Boilermaker and/or welder looking to move into sales
  • Strong product knowledge in welding consumables, tools, and industrial supplies
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Highly self-motivated with excellent time management and the ability to work independently
  • Valid Australian driver's licence
