About Peppermayo

Founded in 2012 by two young entrepreneurs, Peppermayo has grown into a leading ecommerce brand with an exclusive range available only at We're now looking for a garment technician to join our design & production team. You'll play a key role in shaping our product, bringing a passion for fit, a collaborative approach, and the drive to make our styles look great on every body.

Responsibilities & Skills

  • Work closely with the designers on key changes to achieve the best garment fit results
  • Send fit notes to suppliers
  • Manage design room alongside other garment technician
  • Work closely with the rest of the buying and production team members, imparting grading and fit knowledge to allow for making the best product decisions
  • Assist in approving size charts
  • Communicate fabric, fit and technical issues to the team and flag if these issues will affect the critical path timeline
  • Liaise with suppliers - via email and wechat
  • Approve PPS samples sent by suppliers - after cross checking measurements and fit changes
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with our suppliers and within the internal team
  • Travel frequently for supplier visits, fit sessions, and product approvals
  • Understand & focus on the Peppermayo customer and their needs in all areas of execution

Requirements

  • Someone with an understanding of garment construction
  • Must have grading knowledge, familiar with grading rules suitable for different styles and fabrics
  • A multitasker who is time efficient and can work within deadlines
  • A team player who is effortless to work with
  • Previous experience as a Garment Technician
  • Multilingual speaking skills (Chinese preferred) to support direct communication with suppliers
  • Proficient skills to work with excel, google drive
