About The Role
McDermott Aviation is Australia's premier privately-owned helicopter operator, with global operations in the U.S. and Europe. We are seeking a Purchasing Officer to source, negotiate, and secure materials, equipment, and services to support our aviation operations. You will ensure cost-effectiveness, compliance, and quality while maintaining strong supplier relationships. Knowledge of CASA/FAA regulations is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and negotiate with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Manage purchase orders and track delivery schedules.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure material availability.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in aviation or general purchasing operations.
  • Diploma in Purchasing, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and record-keeping skills.
  • Knowledge of purchasing regulations and ethical standards.
  • CASA/FAA regulatory knowledge desirable.
