About the role

Join our friendly team at Hills Family Medical Practice as a part-time Medical Receptionist for 2 days. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our valued patients, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors.

Working closely with our medical professionals, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our practice.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice in a friendly and professional manner
  • Scheduling appointments, handling patient enquiries and managing patient records
  • Assisting with the administrative tasks necessary for the efficient running of the practice
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service and confidentiality at all times
  • Liaising with other healthcare providers and external organisations as required
  • Providing a warm, welcoming and organised reception area for patients

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a medical or healthcare administration role, preferably in a GP medical practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients, doctors and other staff members
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency in using medical software and computer systems
  • A friendly, professional and empathetic demeanour
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
