Job Description:

Momoto Sushi, located on the Level 2 of Burnside Village in Adelaide, is a popular Japanese cuisine establishment committed to delivering high-quality food and service. We are currently seeking an experienced, proactive, and reliable Kitchen Hand to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hot Food & Fryer Operation:
  • Operating the deep fryer for items such as tempura and karaage (Japanese fried chicken).
  • Assisting with the simple preparation and plating of other hot meal items.
  • Cleaning & Sanitation:
  • Washing dishes, cutlery, and kitchen equipment (including operating the dishwasher).
  • Ensuring the kitchen area, equipment, and work surfaces are kept clean and sanitised to the highest food safety standards at all times.
  • General Kitchen Support:
  • Assisting chefs and the kitchen team with daily food preparation and mise en place tasks.
  • Adhering to all food safety regulations and restaurant operational procedures.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a commercial kitchen or fast-paced hospitality environment is essential.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and independently in a designated area.
  • Familiarity with deep fryer operation is highly regarded.
  • Able to handle the physical demands of the role, including standing for long periods and lifting/moving supplies.
  • Excellent time management and strong team player mentality.
  • Must hold a valid working visa for Australia.
