The role and you:
Playing an integral part in the coordination of category related collateral, this fast-paced role reports directly to a Merchandise Manager, and ensures that category/merchandise plans are rolled out to schedule.
You'll know you're the right person for the role if you have a resilient, tenacious personality, you thrive in a fast-paced role, and you love the challenge of meeting defined deadlines. Able to work with set objective and set information, and yet still be able to find a way around information that may sometimes seem ambiguous, you'll rely on your problem-solving skills, asking questions along the way.
Duties include:
Meet business objectives in relation to category plans
Assists in ensuring catalogue deadlines are met
New product research
Data analysis and review
Report preparation and presentation
General administration support related to the role and category
Internal and external stakeholder relationship building
The successful applicant will have:
Category, merchandise or buying exposure, or a passion for developing a career in this area
Retail or FMCG experience desirable
Strong communication skills and the ability to develop solid stakeholder relationships
Well-developed excel skills, and good experience in all other Microsoft packages
A love of data and ability to analyse information
A keen eye for detail, and strong sense of logic
Administrative prowess
A natural ability to be organised
