The role and you:

Playing an integral part in the management of the category, this fast-paced role reports directly to a Merchandise Manager and ensures that category plans are rolled out to schedule. You will support in the growth and profitability of the category.

You'll know you're the right person for the role if you have a resilient, tenacious personality, you thrive in a fast-paced role, and you love the challenge of meeting deadlines. Able to work with set objectives and set information, and yet be confident in in your problem-solving skills, asking questions along the way.

This role is within the Accessories, Adventure & Events category, which has a diverse and exciting product range including 4x4 & adventure, car accessories, and gifting. It is a fast-paced category, with a heavy focus on new product development.

Duties include:

  • Meet business objectives in relation to category plans

  • Supplier engagement and negotiations

  • Range performance analysis and reviews

  • Off Shore Product development and lifecycle management

  • Review and execution of promotional plans

  • Create and procure content for packaging and online

  • Data analysis and review

  • Seasonal product planning and execution

  • Report preparation and presentation

  • General administration support related to the role and category

  • Internal and external stakeholder relationship building

The successful applicant will have:

  • Category, merchandise or buying exposure, or a passion for developing a career in this area

  • Retail or FMCG experience desirable

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to develop solid stakeholder relationships

  • Well-developed excel skills, and good experience in all other Microsoft packages

  • A love of data and ability to analyse information, identify key points and make recommendations

  • A keen eye for detail, and strong sense of logic

  • Strong excel skills

  • A natural ability to be organised
