Job Description

BlueScope is an Australian-born global success story spanning 15 countries. Our team of over 16,500 people is our strength and we want our people to be safe, successful and well. We're leaders and innovators in transforming steel into smart products and solutions that support society, today and in the future. We're proud of brands, like COLORBOND steel that inspire and protect everything from hospitals to bridges and stadiums.

The Opportunity

BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.

As a valued member of the team, you'll provide day-to-day marketing support to the Marketing Manager and the team, whilst also working independently on various marketing and sales initiatives. You'll collaborate strategically with key stakeholders and customers in developing and executing marketing segment plans, including the planning and co-ordination of events, tradeshows, and customer in-store merchandising displays.

Working Monday to Friday, this full-time permanent opportunity is based in Mascot, NSW, with the flexibility to work one day from home per week. Enjoy free parking at the office or take advantage of the Mascot train station located within close walking distance.

What Will You Do?

As someone who enjoys the process of planning and executing events and projects from conception to completion both individually and in collaboration with key stakeholders, you will also:

  • gain an in-depth understanding of our product range and utilise your knowledge to plan, create, and execute marketing initiatives in-line with segment and brand objectives
  • be a trusted brand custodian with the ability to influence marketing, segment and communications plans from preparation to implementation
  • collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders (such as retailers and distributors) for co-operative marketing initiatives, ensuring aligned brand representation and customer satisfaction
  • manage and nurture relationships with national industry partnerships, including the planning, execution and reporting of marketing and sales activations including events
  • develop and refine internal and external communications, including email marketing, newsletters, conferences and events, cooperative marketing efforts with customers, and local area promotional activities
  • coordinate the production and distribution of our sales support materials for relevant customers, providing accurate reporting and updates

More About You

With your passion and drive for influencing positive outcomes in both individual and collaborative projects, you'll bring:

  • demonstrated experience (or ability to quickly adapt) within a B2B marketing environment such as trade, distribution, or retail partners
  • a customer-centric approach including effective communication, influencing skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams and customers nationally
  • hands-on experience planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns and promotions, with the ability to analyse outcomes and use insights to optimise future activities
  • confidence navigating ambiguity, using creative problem-solving and sound judgement to make and influence decisions
  • prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • project management and event coordination experience, with a focus on delivering timely results and continuous improvement
  • experience working with marketing systems and tools such as Salesforce (or similar), project management platforms, and digital campaign tools
