About School Infrastructure


School Infrastructure (SI) is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades and maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school. This encompasses the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.

About the role

  • Provide asset services to a group of schools within the Asset Management region.
  • Act as a point of contact for School Principals and respond to all facilities management and maintenance enquiries for identified facilities.
  • Maintain sound working relationships with key stakeholders in schools to facilitate the provision of asset management services across the portfolio.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors and other asset management staff to support the design,
    development and construction phases of projects.

About you

  • Strong understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Excellent customer service in dealing with key stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Knowledge in scope writing, along with the ability to estimate project costs and manage budgets
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Current and valid NSW Driver's Licence
  • Willingness and ability to travel across the assigned area of Asset Management of Northern Sydney
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

There is no requirement to renew the WWCC once it expires after five years. Employer obligations under the WWCC will apply only for the duration of its validity, up to five years.
