Hanlon Industries is seeking a capable, detail-driven Bookkeeper to support our finance team through a busy growth period. This 6-month contract offers flexibility (part-time or full-time) and the potential to transition into a longer-term role for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Administration & Reporting

  • Support month-end journals, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate, compliant, and well-organised financial records
  • Ensure correct coding, GST treatment, and documentation in Xero and Workbench
  • Keep ledgers clean and current to support IAS, BAS, and tax obligations

Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare and process customer invoices and receipts
  • Confidently follow up outstanding accounts
  • Maintain accurate AR ledgers and supporting documentation
  • Liaise with clients to resolve queries and payment issues professionally

Banking & Reconciliations

  • Complete daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
  • Reconcile credit cards and employee expenses
  • Provide accurate, timely data to support cashflow forecasting
About You
  • Proficient in Xero (essential)
  • Strong understanding of GST, reconciliations, and core bookkeeping principles
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communicator with a professional phone manner
  • Highly organised and consistent, with the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Comfortable using modern cloud-based finance systems
