Overview
We are seeking our new Principal Cloud Project Manager (Managed Cloud) to join the Axway team

We are seeking an experienced senior candidate with a broadly developed background in cloud computing technologies and advanced advocacy and communication skills. The right persona for this customer facing role will enhance and improve the Axway Managed cloud onboarding journey while providing the level of competency necessary to manage a healthy portfolio of Axway Managed Cloud customers.

Responsibilities
The Axway Managed Cloud PMO - Principal Software Project Manager is entrusted with overseeing global initiatives and deliverables aligned with Axway's strategic objectives for Managed Cloud. This role requires substantial prior experience in managing application, infrastructure, and managed cloud projects.

The PMO is accountable for achieving the business objectives of Axway Inc. and its clients. The Principal Project Manager engages directly with both external and internal stakeholders to identify and address risks, define project scope, and drive projects toward successful completion in collaboration with teams such as Professional Services, Customer Success, Managed Services, Support, Product Management, and R&D.

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a comprehensive background in cloud computing technologies and exceptional communication and advocacy skills. The ideal candidate for this client-facing position will enhance the Axway Managed Cloud onboarding experience while demonstrating the expertise required to effectively manage a robust portfolio of Managed Cloud customers.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE

  • This project role establishes a well understood business case and ensures all relevant use cases are included
  • Establishes and manages Axway schedules, reporting, and status of results
  • Engages with Customers and Axway stakeholders to deliver to project objectives
  • Manages risks, issues, dependencies, actions, budget tracking, change requests and provides regular status reporting
  • Uses established Axway PMO Governance methodologies for infrastructure and cloud projects
  • Learns and understands Axway culture to drive programs and project to successful outcomes
  • Established project management methodologies, SDLC, Agile and other tools including in-depth understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Manages diverse, cross-functional, concurrently running project teams (architects, engineers, developers and/or consultants) in geographically distributed locations, using sound problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
  • Establishes project baselines and tracking compliance and deviations from established baselines

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of Project/Program Management experience within technology, or other complex fields that require the ability to be agile in leading and delivering on strategic and tactical business objectives
  • 8+ years leading project teams and delivering results
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and be flexible with a varied workload
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, balanced with ability to analyze multiple options to meet responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Manage stakeholder expectations by understanding stakeholder needs, determining alternatives and communicating effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Accountable team player with a constructive transparent attitude, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a geographically dispersed team in multiple time zones
  • Thrives on working under pressure in a dynamic environment and stays flexible through organizational growth and change
  • Experience with systems integration, software deployment, infrastructure deployment, change management and quality assurance
  • Builds transparency and visibility for effective communication plan

EDUCATION

  • Master's degree or post-secondary in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
  • Project Management certifications or equivalent education (PMP, ITIL, PRINCE2)
  • Agile, ITIL, or Security certifications (CSM, PSM, SDLC etc.)
  • Experience and working knowledge in MS Office, MS Project, Jira and Confluence, ServiceNow
