Primary objective

Provide educational leadership and expert advice to effectively design, develop, implement and continuously improve

organisational training and development programs within the NTPF Training College. The role includes leading innovation and

educational best practice and compliance to meet the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Design, develop, implement, evaluate and continuously improve adult learning, training and assessment to meet the needs of

clients and stakeholders within the NTPF Training College.

2. Lead best practice in contemporary adult learning including successfully managing projects and initiatives including influencing

and engaging with trainers and stakeholders to achieve results.

3. Ensure that training delivered and assessed through the College meets College Training Quality Framework requirements and

assessed with robust quality assurance.

4. Assist in the delivery of NTPF strategic objectives through achieving results in a dynamic environment, including leading change

management initiatives.

  1. Identify and promote opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation and efficiencies across the NTPF College.
  2. Work collegially and contribute to a culture of high performing, cross-functional teams.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Extensive knowledge and current practical experience in the design, development, and continuous improvement of quality adult

learning which is linked to the achievement of strategic organisational training objectives.

2. Extensive knowledge and experience in monitoring and leading quality and compliance in an accredited training environment,

including the ability to unpack training packages, develop assessment tools and map assessment tasks.

  1. Advanced organisational and project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, report on projects and

see projects through to completion.

4. The ability to lead a small team and work collaboratively to achieve outcomes through demonstrated effective written and oral

communication skills, confident negotiation style and the ability to influence a variety of stakeholders including senior

management, trainers/assessors and external stakeholders.

  1. High-level research, analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure effective training and development outcomes including the

ability to overcome obstacles.

Desirable

1. Tertiary qualifications in training and assessment, adult education/learning, human resource development or equivalent.

2. Knowledge of eLearning and flexible delivery of training and assessment.
