motivated Calibration Lab Supervisor to lead our team in a fast-paced calibration laboratory specializing in particle counters to join our service team in Boronia on a permanent full-time basis.

You will be Responsible for the day to day quality output operations of our house NATA accredited Calibration Laboratory. Technical completion of daily workload including Calibration and repair maintenance of Optical Particle counters, Environmental sensors, Aerosol Photometers and other test, measurement instrumentation.

Due to the specialized nature of our business, we expect to train the successful applicant on specific duties and technical equipment specifics.

Main responsibilities include:


• Perform calibration and repair works of Particle Counters and photometers within an ISO 17025 laboratory.


• Supervise daily operations within a NATA accredited calibration laboratory.


• Schedule and prioritise calibration tasks to meet company objectives and quality timelines.


• Ensure all equipment is calibrated in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and other relevant standards.


• Maintain accurate records of calibration activities and certifications.


• Train and mentor lab technicians on calibration procedures and safety protocols.


• Collaborate, engage, and lead department internal projects with quality assurance and engineering teams.


• Conduct internal audits and support external audits as needed.


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the lab.


• Excellent attention to detail and high personal standards regarding quality of work

Key Competencies, Skills, and Abilities


• Previous experience in a similar technical role within a NATA-accredited laboratory is highly regarded.


• Calibration expertise, particularly in temperature and humidity sensors, ideally gained in a NATA-accredited environment.


• Strong capability in technical troubleshooting and fault finding.


• Solid understanding of electronics and precision measurement techniques.


• Proven ability to follow detailed procedures and documentation with accuracy.


• Tertiary qualifications in electronics or a related technical discipline (desirable).


• Experience in developing procedures and technical work instructions (desirable).


• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality outcomes.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and manage time effectively.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.


• Possession of a current Australian driver's license.


• Effective team player with a collaborative mindset.


• Self-motivated, with a strong drive to contribute to business growth and continuous improvement.
