About the Role…

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Accounts Payable Team Leader to take the reins of our high-performing finance team. In this role, you'll lead from the front—coaching, mentoring, and ensuring the seamless delivery of our accounts payable process across multiple entities. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love optimising processes, and can balance accuracy with efficiency, we'd love to hear from you.
What might this look like you may ask?
- Lead, coach, and onboard accounts payable team members for peak performance.
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes—from invoice receipt to payment.
- Oversee reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and intercompany postings.
- Monitor bank balances, process weekly payments, and maintain aged payables reports.
- Ensure debtor invoicing, credit control, and credit card processing are timely and accurate.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to create efficiencies within the department.
- Provide timely reporting and support to the Finance Manager and Management Accountants.
This is a permanent full time position based at our Southport Head Office.

About you...
- 3+ years' experience in a similar accounts payable leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and medium-sized business accounting software.
- A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to adapt to change.
- Business or Finance qualification (preferred, not essential).
- Ability to obtain a Blue Card and National Police Check with no disclosable outcomes
