The Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer to join our team at Stanbrokes meat processing facility. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our high standards of food safety, product quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QA systems within the food industry, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to Stanbroke's Quality Policy and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Lead and support quality assurance programs across the site, including direction of laboratory operations.
- Stay up to date with regulatory manuals, standards, and industry requirements.
- Work closely with QA staff, production teams, lab personnel, and management to maintain product integrity.
- Communicate effectively with government departments (DAFF), Aus-Meat, and customers on quality-related matters.
- Coordinate and take part in both internal and external audits of quality systems.
Who We are looking For:
- You have solid experience in QA systems and technical roles within the meat or food industry, including HACCP.
- You have a strong understanding of customer audit processes and regulatory compliance.
- You are are skilled in developing and maintaining quality management systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- You have excellent communicator with AUS-MEAT qualifications (Beef Specification Certification highly regarded).
- You are proactive, team-oriented, and tech-savvy, with experience in Microsoft Office and QA platforms like ILeader.
