ABOUT THE ROLE

Location: Bakers Creek, Mackay, QLD- gateway to the Whitsundays

To develop, lead and manage the QA function and team, maintaining the Quality Management System to ensure the consistent delivery of quality products to customers. Support the business to achieve its operational and strategic goals through monitoring effective QA practices identifying and providing corrective actions as required.

ABOUT YOU

· years previous experience within a QA Management role

· Experience in the Meat Industry(Desirable)

· A proven track record as a QA Manager in a fast-paced environment, including knowledge of HACCP, GMP & other relevant food safety standards.

· Familiarity with BRC standards and compliance

· A passion to educate others and embed a culture of quality across the business

· Well-developed problem-solving skills, the ability to think beyond the present and consider all facts and alternatives through consultation and openness

· An ability to display excellent judgement, drive and initiative

· Ownership of outcomes, even during challenging times

· A team focus, building harmonious and positive alliances with others.

· Experience with Halal production and export requirements.

· Demonstrated experience in implementing QA systems(and processes) that consistently meet the standards of our customers in both real terms and audit environment.

· Ability to display excellent judgement, drive and initiative

· Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem solving and organisational skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

· years' experience in the field or equivalent

· Successfully completed higher education in Food Science and Technology or equivalent
