About the Role:
We are looking for a driven and versatile
Marketing Manager
to lead all marketing activity for
Bernardi Group Supermarkets
, a proudly regional Australian business. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives on creating meaningful customer engagement across digital and in-store channels while championing community, value, and local stories.
This role is both strategic and operational, requiring someone who can set direction and execute with agility. The successful candidate will be passionate about food, people, and building brands with heart.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Communications
- Own and manage the
weekly digital catalogue
, ensuring it reflects commercial priorities and inspires customers. - Plan, create, and schedule
social media content
across paid and organic platforms, while managing community engagement and moderation on local channels - Plan and send
weekly marketing emails
that inform, engage, and drive store traffic. - Develop
marketing content and campaigns
that bring to life key brand storylines, including
local suppliers
, seasonal events, and
community fundraising initiatives
. - Support with
copywriting and content production
for campaigns, catalogues, POS, and digital touchpoints.
Loyalty & eCommerce
- Manage and optimise the
loyalty program
to drive repeat visits and customer retention. - Oversee
new eCommerce platform administration
, including: - Keeping product and promotional content updated.
- Ensuring alignment of online and in-store offers.
- Supporting a seamless customer experience.
In-store Marketing & Local Execution
- Spend
weekly time in one store
to: - Create content (photo/video) for digital channels.
- Review in-store marketing execution and POS.
- Partner with store managers to deliver
local marketing initiatives
, including event promotion and community partnerships. - Support buying and VM teams on
new product launches and promotional storytelling
.
Strategic Alignment
- Collaborate with the central buying team to identify
priority product lines
for promotion and storytelling. - Help shape and execute a
cross-channel marketing strategy
that supports business growth and reflects customer needs.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years in a marketing role, ideally in retail, FMCG, or omni-channel environment.
- Strong content creation and campaign management skills.
- Experience with email marketing platforms, social scheduling tools, and analytics.
- A natural storyteller who understands how to build brand warmth while driving commercial results.
- A team player who's happy to roll up their sleeves, this role is as much about execution as it is strategy.
- Whilst this role is predominantly remote, you will need to be located close enough to one of our stores to make weekly visits for content creation and campaign planning.
